Springtime in Louisiana means tons and tons of beautiful flowers, especially wildflowers! For low-budget, DIY spring portraits, simply look around the yard for backdrops. It is easier than you’d think to find high quality props and backgrounds for photos. Wooden deck? Random wildflowers? Solid brick walls? Local or private ponds? PERFECT!

If you crop out background items like cars, air unit, wires, etc. it adds that “professional” element to your photos!

Don’t be afraid to crop.

Make a game out of picking as many wildflowers as possible so that you and the kids can lay them out in a small patch of the yard to look like a super lush and colorful field.

Don’t be afraid to turn up your saturation just a LITTLE bit to add those pops of Spring color.
